Creating the nervous system

Made for High Density

To create an IoT-HD ecosystem, we've developed a proprietary wireless network that is used by all of our nodes to communicate seamlessly with low power, low throughput, and low bandwidth.

Energy efficient

Reliable message delivery

Each node is designed to be as energy-efficient as possible. Connecting thousands of sensors over Bluetooth becomes unreliable as a large amount of message collisions will occur due to signal density among devices on the 2.4 GHz frequency. As you increase the number of Bluetooth devices the level of energy consumption rises exponentially. With Edyza's proprietary network, thousands of nodes can deliver messages without any collisions, all while still being on the 2.4 GHz frequency. More successful message delivery means our nodes waste less energy communicating within the network.

To offer true scalability, our network is structured as a tree as opposed to a mesh network. Wireless protocols such as Zigbee use a mesh network to send small amounts of data over medium distances. However, in large amounts, the network will bottleneck with the many nodes trying to pass data through one node. This results in the nodes constantly retrying to send their messages resulting in poor energy efficiency. With our tree network, we've limited each node to have a maximum of 8 child nodes, to offer a highly scalable structure that allows our nodes to send messages successfully without sacrificing energy.

Forming the Edyza network

Provisioning has never been easier

Our nodes have been made for easy and scalable deployment by using our wireless network to reduce installation costs. After simply tapping an Edyza sensor with an NFC enabled device the sensor will be provisioned and ready to install. Once provisioned the sensors will start to form the Edyza wireless network.

Broadcasting to find other nodes

When the nodes initially turn on they find other neighboring nodes by gradually expanding their radio distance.

Developer friendly custom configurations

Each node can be dynamically configured for the environment or situation they are in. Certain nodes can be enabled to only show temperature and humidity while other nodes can sense movement. In a critical situation, we'll be able to increase the sampling rate to provide a more detailed and accurate view of the situation.

Stay operational with our edge server

Our edge servers utilize X modular redundancy (XMR) to future-proof the Edyza wireless network from being affected by temporary network outages. Our edge servers are capable of local storage and control at the edge of the Edyza wireless network. Incorporating more of our edge servers increases the redundancy, making your IoT-HD environment more powerful.
